Unilabs in Portugal, Laboratory Prof. Ernesto Morais, wins ten 10-years contract of exclusiveness character at Hospital de São Martinho, HSM  - a health unit in the Greater Porto and Vale do Sousa areas. The contract covers Clinical Pathology and Pathological Anatomy areas.

Acquisition of York Bioanalytical Solution (YBS)- an independent UK bioanalytical laboratory for drug development support- in order to  strengthen the position as marketleader in bioanalytical support for drug development studies.

Acquisition of a new laboratory, Dr Andres, in German-speaking Switzerland.

Acquisition of EuradConsult in Belgium - one of the leading providers of teleradiology services in Europe- in order to develop teleradiology services on a pan-European basis.

Acquisition of Hilario Lima - a market leader in Northern Portugal.

Capio Diagnostics acquires Telelab AS in Norway – a private laboratory services company specialised in medical microbiology. 
Acquisition of Kokkolan Röntgen Oy in Finland. Capio Diagnostics in Denmark wins the first contract ever concerning mammography screening in Denmark.

Unilabs creates unified brand presence in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino.
Acquisition of a second laboratory in Portugal.

2006

In November Capio is acquired by Opica AB. Capio is delisted from the Stockholm Stock Exchange on November 17.

First acquisition of a laboratory in Portugal. Acquisition of a new laboratory in Bern.

2005

Capio Diagnostics wins new contract concerning mammography screening in Stockholm.
Establishment of a new mammography screening clinic in Stockholm.
Establishment of imaging- and laboratory services clinic in Stockholm.

2004

Capio Diagnostics acquires Independent Histopathology Services, I.H.S, in London, UK.
Renewed contracts for Capio Diagnostics concerning laboratory services with the county councils Jämtland, Stockholm and Västra Götaland.

Establishment of new imaging services clinic in Gothenburg.

Acquisition of a laboratory in the Swiss region Valais.

2002

Capio Diagnostics acquires Mediscan Oy in Helsinki, Finland.
The operations within laboratory and imaging services are coordinated in one company – Capio Diagnostics.
Capio Diagnostics wins contract concerning mammography – screening and clinical – trials in the county council Västra Götaland.

Oslo Röntgen and Fredrikstad Röntgen in Norway are acquired.

Acquisition of a major laboratory group in Geneva, Lausanne and Neuchâtel.

Norlab Laboratory in Oslo, Norway is acquired.
Tönsberg Röntgen and Bryn Röntgen operations were established and acquired in Norway.

Dr Willes laboratory in Oslo is acquired.
All operations within laboratory medicine in Sweden are coordinated in one company – Nova Medical AB.

The laboratory services within cellular pathology are acquired from the Hospital in Östersund, Sweden.
Capio Diagnostics is established in Denmark through the acquisition of Medicinsk Laboratorium AS, founded in 1932 of two Danish Physicians

Creation of the first central laboratory (Zentral Labor Zürich) serving five private and public hospitals in Zurich.

1996

Mälardiagnostik AB - a laboratory services company – is acquired from the county council Sörmland in Sweden.
Several contracts in laboratory medicine are won in Stockholm.
The private laboratory services company Calab Medicinska Laboratorier and the laboratories at S.t Görans Hospital in Stockholm including 13 primary care laboratories are acquired.
A Laboratory is started in Gdansk in Poland.
