Unilabs Drug Development Services changes brand to York Bioanalytical Solutions
In order to develop its position as a leading Independent Bioanalytical CRO in Europe, Unilabs Drug Development Services changes brand to York Bioanalytical Solutions, YBS, as of today.
Yvonne Lech, Managing Director of Unilabs Denmark stated: “Since becoming part of theUnilabs group in May 2008, YBS has integrated with Unilabs Copenhagen to share quality andregulatory competencies & scientists, as well as supplementing each other’s core competencies.
It is now time to introduce a common brand name for Unilabs activities within Drug DevelopmentServices.
The “new” Unilabs York Bioanalytical Solutions is a significant independent supplier ofbioanalysis for both NCEs and NBEs as well as biomarkers in Europe. In addition we take thepain out of sample logistics.
The new brand is designed to acknowledge the qualities associated with YBS, the premierindependent UK bioanalytical laboratory for drug development support.
As part of the Unilabs group, YBS in York has integrated with its sister site in Copenhagen andthe integrated company can offer LC-MS/MS as well as additional high quality bioanalyticalservices, including traditional immunoassay using ELISA & RIA, biomarker analysis, cell basedassays, GC-MS, ICP-MS and an unparalleled logistics service dedicated to bioanalysis.
YBS is dedicated to continuous renewal of its technical platforms and recent new innovationsinclude; new immunoassay technology comprising the Gyrolab system for automating highthroughput immunoassay methods and the Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) system for addedsensitivity, selectivity and multiple biomarker analysis using electrochemiluminescence.
