Unilabs inaugurates new state-of-the-art laboratory in Madrid
On March 10, 2011 Unilabs inaugurated in Madrid what the Spanish press unanimously qualifies as the most modern laboratory in the country.
The new laboratory generated 117 highly skilled jobs and becomes the Group's 19th laboratory in 20 years of operations in Spain.
The event was attended among others by the Group's CEO Jean-Paul Rigaudeau, Unilabs Spain Board Chairman Daniel de Busturia, the Spanish Treasury and Finance Advisor Antonio Beteta and Madrid's Economy Delegate Miguel Angel Villanueva.
According to Daniel de Busturia, "This new laboratory is a major milestone at a European level and represents the axis of new Group developments in which genomics and genetics have a special place".
Additional to this opening, Unilabs held its Third Group Scientific and Medical Meeting. The event was hosted in Madrid on March 11-12 and reunited over 80 scientists from all over Europe.
